Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Miguel is an in-demand bassist now based in Austin, TX.
He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University - Kingsville in 2025, where he studied with pianist Theresa Chen. He has since relocated to pursue his master's degree at the University of Texas at Austin and is now studying with renowned bassist John Fremgen. During his time in Austin, he has performed multiple times around town. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with Diego Rivera, Gerry Gibbs, Ross Margitza, Joel Frahm, Paul Deemer, Ruby Laks, Elias Haslanger, Andre Hayward, Aubrey Logan, Andy Langham, and Daniel Dufour.
